Instacart launched Instacart Business — a new platform designed to take the load off small business owners. Office supplies, bulk goods, those everyday groceries that someone always has to run out for. We gave businesses access to over 1.5 million products across Instacart's network of 1,100+ retail partners, with delivery options that actually made sense: same-day, no-rush discounts, long-distance when needed. No monthly minimums. Features included shareable stock lists, auto-ordering, and invoicing tools built for how small teams actually operate. 







The industry took notice. While Instacart already fulfilled millions of business orders per quarter in 2022, this formalized the service and positioned us differently — not just as a grocery platform, but as a B2B player competing with Amazon and Walmart. The focus was clear: help small businesses save time, money, and mental energy on the tasks that don't move their business forward.
