Legend of You

In-Game + Social Content Creation + Platform

When your video game centers around each player becoming a legend, you've got to make them feel like it. You also have to convince gamers to pick the game back up for the next big expansion. So to hype the launch of Destiny: The Taken King, we gave over a million players exactly what every legend deserves: a starring role in their very own game trailer.

'The Legend of You' worked like this: players entered their GamerTag or PSN name, selected their Guardian, and an algorithm built a personalized 60-second trailer in real time — featuring their character, their stats, their achievements, and a custom title based on their greatest accomplishments. Cabal Destroyer. Legion Breaker. The Unbowed. Each title was as unique as the player's journey.

The gaming world lost its mind. Polygon called it a promotional tool that would dominate social media. Tech Times highlighted how it focused on you, not just gameplay. PlayStation LifeStyle admitted it hyped them more than any traditional trailer could. Reddit threads filled with players sharing their legends. Facebook and Twitter lit up.

The campaign generated over 1 million renders in less than 24 hours with absolutely zero media spend — purely organic engagement powered by word of mouth. Thousands of servers handled the traffic, delivering crisp 1080p videos optimized for mobile in just seconds. The expansion shattered sales expectations. And we proved that personalized, hyper-targeted content doesn't just get attention — it changes the game entirely
